Modem guide for FTTP, FTTC, and HFC
Reset Your Router/Modem:
Before setting up, it's a good idea to perform a factory reset to remove any existing connection profiles:
Locate the reset hole on the router.
Use a pin to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds or until the power LED blinks then release.
Wait for the router to restart, which may take a few minutes.
Once restarted, the router will be restored to its factory settings.
Step 1
Use a personal device to get connected to your modem.
How?
Option 1: Use your laptop (recommended) or your mobile phone to connect to your Wi-Fi.
⚠️ Internet is not required, as soon as you are connected to your Wi-Fi you’ll be able to access your modem’s configuration.
Option 2: Plug an Ethernet cable (see the picture) from your laptop to your modem.
Step 2
Open your internet browser (e.g. Chrome), type http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 on the address bar, and press enter.

Step 3
Log in:
Set up a new admin password when prompted, then select "Let's get started."
If you are unable to login using the given credentials, check our FAQ page.
Step 4
Quick Setup Wizard
The wizard will guide you through the setup process.
Select your region and time zone, then hit "Next."
Step 5
Select connection type: Choose "Dynamic IP" and hit "Next."
Step 6
Dynamic IP: Use the default MAC Address.
Step 7
Personalize Wireless settings: Set up your Wi-Fi settings:
Wireless Radio: Enable
Network Name (SSID): [Your network name]
Password: [Your password]
Step 8
Hit "Next": The router will perform a connection test.
⚠️ If Wi-Fi is used for configuration, make sure to reconnect to Wi-Fi once loaded, especially if Wi-Fi credentials got personalised, as it would disconnect from the Wi-Fi since new credentials are applied.
Once Reconnected, Firmware update:
The router will check if a firmware update is needed.
You can choose to update or skip this part.
Configuration result:
The router will display the result of the configuration, indicating if it was successful or failed.
Congratulatory message:
A message will appear informing you that the setup is complete, and you should now be able to use the internet.
Step 9
Check that your internet connection is working properly by accessing www.google.com in your web browser.
Test your speed by typing www.speedtest.net in your web browser and click ‘GO’.
You are connected now to amaysim Home internet!

Wi-Fi Settings Guide
Step 1

Step 3
Login with your modem admin password.
⚠️ the admin password is not the same as your Home Wi-Fi password. If you can’t remember it we’ll help you below.
Can’t remember your admin password and default password didn’t work? you’ll have to factory reset your modem. Press the ‘Reset’ button using a pin (as shown in the screenshot) for 10 seconds until the modem power light blinks. Wait for 5 minutes and create your admin password credentials.
⚠️ Resetting your modem puts your Home Wi-Fi name & password to default. Set up your Ethernet WAN IPoE credentials then you’ll be able to define a preferred name & password as you go on the the Wizard.
Step 4
Go to Wireless
If didn’t go thru wizard and you remember your admin login earlier, you may go straight to ‘Wireless’.
Step 5
Personalise Wi-Fi credentials as preferred. Then, ‘Save’.
Wireless settings: Set up your Wi-Fi settings:
Network Name (SSID): [Your network name]
Password: [Your password]
Step 6
Once it is successfully saved, click ‘OK’.

Check the Connection:
