An amaysim eSIM lets you connect your phone to our network faster than ever before. But as with most things techy, things can get tricky. That’s why we’re here to help with tips on installation, activation and everything in between.
What should I do if my device is not eSIM compatible?
If you’ve purchased an amaysim eSIM and realised your device is not eSIM compatible, you can order a physical SIM card via My amaysim or the amaysim app.
Alternatively, you could purchase an eSIM compatible device from us on our website.
Want to check if your device is eSIM compatible?
There are several ways to see if your device is eSIM compatible.
Dial *#06#
You can check if your device is eSIM compatible by dialling *#06# on your mobile phone (don’t worry, this isn’t an actual call).
If a 32-digit EID number like this one – EID 89049032006008882611019615153778 – appears on your screen, your device is likely compatible.
The exception is devices purchased in China, Hong Kong and Macau which may not have eSIM hardware but still show an EID. Additionally, refurbished phones may have lost eSIM functionality when they were reconditioned.
The best way to confirm your phone is eSIM compatible is to check your settings.
Checking your device settings
