The difference between prepaid and postpaid is when you pay for your service. Because our SIM-only plans are prepaid, you’ll always pay for you plan upfront.
Postpaid plans are usually set up as a contract over 12 or 24 months, automatically renewing on a month-to-month basis. On a postpaid plan, your bill will have a fixed amount at the end of each month, however, if you exceed your data limit or calls and SMS allowance, while your service will continue, excess charges will be added to your next bill.
We no longer offer postpaid billing for new services, and all amaysim mobile and data-only plans will remain prepaid services.
How prepaid plans work
With a prepaid plan, you always pay for your plan upfront. This can be done automatically, by linking a payment method such as a credit/debit card or PayPal account to your plan.
How often you renew your plan is up to you. You can choose to do so every 7 days, every 28 days, or even every 12 months, using one of our long-expiry prepaid plans.
