Number Link Set Up Guide

Let’s get started.

The process has two main tasks:

1. Pair your smart watch and mobile phone(skip this if you have done it already) 

2. Set up Number Link on your smart watch

Pair your smart watch and mobile phone

What?

This is about connecting your smart watch to your mobile phone via Bluetooth.

Skip this section and jump to Set up Number Link on your smart watch if you've already done it. This is usually needed when your smart watch is new or has been factory reset.

Why?

Bluetooth pairing lets you use some mobile features like apps, calls, and data on your smart watch only when your phone is nearby (in Bluetooth range). You need to pair your smart watch with your mobile phone via Bluetooth before setting up Number Link.

How?

1. Open your smart watch app on your mobile phone (Apple Watch or Galaxy Wearable).

2. On your smart watch app, you'll be prompted to pair your watch with your phone. Note that this process:

   • May take up to 10 minutes

   • Varies by device but is easy to follow

   • Includes updating your watch's software

   • Requires accepting your smart watch manufacturer's terms and conditions

   • Connects your mobile phone account to your watch

   • Downloads your daily use apps to your smart watch (where this feature is available with those apps)

3. After this, you'll be prompted to set up a mobile plan. Jump to step 5 in Stage 2: Set up Number Link on your smart watch.

Stage 2: Set up Number Link on your smart watch

What?

This stage is about linking your smart watch with your amaysim phone number.

Why?

It allows you to use your amaysim SIM plan inclusion like calls and data over 4G while your smart watch and your phone are out of Bluetooth range.

How?

1. Ensure Bluetooth is ON on both your phone and smart watch.

2. Open the amaysim app on your phone.

3. Scroll up on your SIM plan dashboard to see your plan features.

4. In the ‘YOUR SMART WATCH' section, tap 'CONNECT’. This links you to your smart watch app (Apple Watch or Galaxy Wearable, depending on your device brand).

5. On your smart watch app, you'll be prompted to set up a mobile plan. This starts the Number Link setup on your watch.

6. Follow the prompts until you see an amaysim branded screen like this:

 

7. Make sure the phone number on the screen is the one you want to share with your smart watch. If not, it’s because you have multiple SIM plans with amaysim and your phone may be using a different SIM plan at the moment. Ensure your phone is using the SIM plan that you want to use for Number Link.

8. Tap ‘Continue’ to see the next screen:

9. To verify your amaysim number, enter a one-time passcode (OTP). You'll get an SMS on your phone; click the link. The SMS looks like this:
    

   

10. An amaysim webpage will open. Enter your email or mobile number and password to log in. The page will then show your one-time passcode.

11. Copy the one-time passcode, open your smart watch app, paste or type it, then tap 'Continue'.

    

12. The next screen shows your Number Link setup has started. Tap 'Okay' or wait for the next prompt.

13. Your smart watch app will prompt a few screens to finish the Number Link process.

14. You’ll get an SMS from amaysim confirming the process is complete.

That’s it. You can stay connected with your smart watch while away from your phone.

Disconnecting Number Link

Why?

You may want to disconnect Number Link if:

• you want to stop sharing your phone number and plan inclusions with your watch.

• you want to change your mobile phone number digits (which you can do by contacting our Support team).

• you want to transfer your phone number to another provider.

How?
To disconnect Number Link, follow these steps:

1. Open the amaysim app on your phone.

2. Scroll up on your SIM plan dashboard to see your plan features.

3. In the ‘YOUR SMART WATCH' section, tap 'Manage your smart watch’.

4. Tap 'Disconnect smart watch'.

5. Read the message prompted to be aware of the impact of disconnecting your smart watch from Number Link. If you'd like to continue with disconnection, tap 'Yes'

6. You should receive an SMS confirming your disconnection. This can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour.

If you use a Samsung Galaxy watch and completed the disconnection steps in the my amaysim app, follow these additional steps to complete the disconnection process.

Using an Apple Watch? You don’t need these steps.

1. Scroll down your smart watch’s screen to access the menu.

2. Tap 'Settings'.

3. Tap 'Connections'.

4. Scroll down and tap 'Mobile Networks'.

5. Scroll down and tap 'Mobile plans'.

6. Scroll down and tap 'Remove all mobile plans'.

7. Scroll down and read the prompt, tick ‘I understand' to proceed and then tap 'Remove’.
