Number Link is a functionality which allows your phone number to be linked to your compatible smart watch, which then allows you to use your eligible mobile plan on your smart watch. This excludes the use of 5G, MMS, roaming and voicemail.

Number Link Terms
Number Link only available while on an eligible plan. For use in Australia only. Compatible mobile handset, smart watch and operating systems required. Number Link provides you with an eSIM for your smart watch which is connected to your phone, allowing your smart watch to use your plans data and calls.
A smart watch isn’t the same as a mobile phone and some functionality is not available. Your phone must have Voice over LTE (VoLTE) functionality which must be enabled on your device. Call quality may not be of the same standard as a mobile phone and may drop out in certain areas. Network limited to 4G coverage only on your watch. Coverage availability will vary depending on your device and location. Check 4G coverage at Mobile network coverage.
Only one smart watch can be connected to your amaysim plan at a time. Cannot be used to hotspot. To use SMS, your phone has to be on and connected to the network or Wi-Fi. Number Link does not support international roaming, MMS or voicemail. These features require a Bluetooth connection. Bluetooth connection requires your phone to be turned on and within range. Emergency location services are not enabled, and GPS location may not be shared with emergency services if you are out of range of your phone.
How is Bluetooth pairing different from Number Link?
Bluetooth pairing
If you don’t set-up Number Link, you can still pair your smart watch and phone via Bluetooth. When both devices are within Bluetooth range with Bluetooth switched on you can make calls, send texts and use data on your watch. However, if you go outside Bluetooth range (e.g., leave the house without your phone) and the Bluetooth paring disconnects, some features will be unavailable.
