If you ever find yourself unable to access your mobile data, the best thing to try first is closing all active apps and turning your device off for at least one minute before turning it back on again. If you continue to have issues, we recommend doing the following:
Check your data/credit balance
You can check this at a glance on the home screen of the amaysim app or My amaysim, or by texting ‘BAL’ to 568. If you’re out of data, you can add extra data to your plan at any time or renew your plan, to restart your data allowance.
Check for network coverage disruptions in your area
If you’re still experiencing issues accessing the network, and have remaining data, head over to our coverage hub to check if there is an issue in your area.
Check your SIM isn’t damaged
Another reason for you being unable to use your data could be that your SIM card is either damaged or has come loose. The best way to check if this is the case is to try using it in another device. If you still can’t get online, you may need a replacement SIM card.
