To set up your amaysim voicemail, simply call 321 from your device and follow the prompts. Once you’ve completed this, you can call 321 to access your voicemail in the future.
Setting up your voicemail
As soon as you’ve activated your amaysim voicemail service, a voicemail PIN will be sent to you by SMS. Once you’ve received this, you’re ready to call 321 to complete your voicemail setup by following these simple steps:
- When prompted, enter the PIN you’ve been sent.
- Record your personal greeting. The maximum length for this is 180 seconds, but we advise keeping this as short and catchy as you can!
- Once your greeting has been recorded, we recommend changing your voicemail PIN to something more personal, that you’ll be able to remember more easily. You can do this by pressing 8 on the main menu.
- Your PIN can be any combination of number between 4 and 9 digits. We recommend not using a series of repeated numbers, e.g. ‘1111’, for security purposes.
Accessing your voicemail
If you’re on one of our UNLIMITED plans, you’ll get unlimited access to your voicemail. However, if you’re on As You Go, you’ll be charged at the low rate of 12c/min for voicemail access.
To access your voicemail messages, simply dial 321.
- To update your greeting, press 3.
- To access user options, including group lists or to change your voicemail PIN, press 8.
You can enable or disable your voicemail at any time. This can be done in Settings on My amaysim or the amaysim app, or by calling ##002# from your mobile.
Accessing your voicemail overseas
There are two ways you can access your voicemail whilst using international roaming:
By texting ‘A’ to 321
- Within 30 seconds, the voicemail system will call your roaming mobile automatically.
- Follow the prompts to retrieve your voicemail.
By dialling +61 411 000 321
- When prompted, enter your mailbox number. This is your mobile number in Australian format (e.g. 04XX XXX XXX).
- Enter your PIN.
- Follow the prompts to retrieve your voicemail.
Accessing your voicemail via another Australian landline/ mobile number
- Dial 133 321
- When prompted, enter your mailbox number. This is your office/ home phone number, including its area code (e.g. 03XX XXX XXX).
- Press #.
- Enter your PIN.
- Press #.
- Follow the prompts to retrieve your voicemail.
Call charges will be applied at the call rate for 13 numbers.
How long will your messages be stored on your voicemail?
Your voicemail can store a maximum of 40 messages.
- Unplayed messages will be deleted after 30 days.
- Played or saved messages will be deleted after 10 days.
- The maximum recorded message length is 300 seconds.
Remember: Once a voicemail message has been deleted, there is no way to retrieve it.
