To use a Technicolor TG-789 Broadband Gateway with amaysim, you will need to ensure it isn’t locked to your previous provider. If you are coming from a provider such as iiNet or Internode, follow these steps to set up your router to work with amaysim
- In your internet browser, type http://10.1.1.1 into the browsers address bar and press enter
- Login with these details:
- Username: admin
- Password: (leave blank)
- If this does not work, your login details can be found on a sticker on the bottom of your router
- Select Setup Wizard
- Select ‘Other' in the Internet service provider list
- For WAN Interfaces / Type of internet, select:
- FTTP/FTTC/HTC: Ethernet
- FTTP/FTTN: VDSL
- For WAN Type select ‘Dynamic IP address’
- Continue until the setup wizard is complete
- Restart router, if necessary
