Huawei HG659 modem/router

1. In your internet browser, type http://192.168.1.1 into the browsers address bar and presenter
2. Login with these details:
   • Username: user

   • Password: HuaweiUser
     OR
     Default username: admin
     Default password: unknown

     Note: If the above login doesn't work, the password will be printed on the sticker on the back of the Huawei HG659 modem.

3. Once logged in, Delete all profiles, then simply add profile after deleting the other profile

4. Select 'New WAN connection' and input the following details:
   Name: amaysim
   Service type: Internet
   Access type: Ethernet uplink(Ethernet WAN) / PTM uplink(VDSL)
   Connection type: IP
   IP version: IPV4
   IP Routing: IP
   VLAN must be disabled

5. You shouldn't have many other options to select from here, so go ahead and click 'SAVE'

6. Your device should now be connected to the internet. Allow up to 2 minutes for this.

Remove remote access to modem/router

These steps disable your previous telco from being able to access your modem/router

1. Navigate to ‘Maintain’ and then ‘Remote Management’
2. Uncheck ‘Enable remote management’ and select Save
